BUTTERFLY RELEASE

Jim Robson of Traverse City releases one of several monarch butterflies he released in memory of loved ones during the Munson Healthcare Hospice Memorial Butterfly Release on Saturday at the Grand Traverse County Senior Center Network in Traverse City. Almost 160 monarch butterflies were released during the event in memory of lost loved ones. "People need to come out and be with others when we are adjusting to the loss of a loved one," said Bereavement Coordinator Sharon Neumann. "To realize you are not alone." The names of loved ones remembered at the ceremony were read out loud before the butterflies were released by individuals and families.
