BOARDMAN EROSION CONTROL
Record-Eagle/Jan-Michael Stump
From left, Dave McGreaham, Steve Largent, Todd Gignilliat and Bob Hoxie pound in stakes as members of the Adams Chapter of Trout Unlimited place coir logs on a bank of the Boardman River in the Pere Marquette State Forest to prevent further erosion in the area, which is a former pasture. The volunteers paddled downstream from the Forks Campground to place 40 feet of the erosion control devices, which are made from biodegradable coconut fibers.
