STOP THE SUMMER SLIDE

Emily McNamara, 11, tries to help a friend launch a kite as they and other Forest Area Middle School students who completed summer activity lists sent home over the summer for the school's "Stop the Summer Slide," were rewarded with some kite flying and ice cream on Friday afternoon. The goal of the activities was to keep student's skills sharp over the summer break.
