THIS LAND
Record-Eagle/Jan-Michael Stump
Stephen Tarsa (cq), left, and Jane Rosemeier (cq) sing "This Land is Your Land," under a tent during their rainy late Wednesday morning shift of the attempt to sing the song for 72 straight hour at the corner of Front and Cass Streets in downtown Traverse City as a fundraiser for Buckets of Rain and Great Lakes Friends of Safe Passage, as well as get into the Guiness Book of World Records. The singing started at noon on Tuesday, Sept 17, 2013 and will go on, rain or shine, through Friday Sept. 20, 2013. The two charities work to alleviate extreme poverty in the U.S. and Central America through education and food security.
