World War II veteran Marvin Copenhaver receives a standing ovation after being honored with a hand-carved walking staff from the Michigan Woodcarvers Association during a dinner for veterans taking part in the Mid-Michigan Honor Flight on Tuesday at Lake Ann Camp. The group will fly from Traverse City on the free trip, spending the day touring memorials in Washington, D.C. before returning that evening.
