Brys Estate assistant wine maker Mike Altesleben scoops freshly harvested grapes into the masher at the winery on the Old Mission Peninsula on Monday. Altesleben said that this year's cooler summer caused a drop in numbers, but with the 150 percent harvest of 2013, they aren't as worried about this years less-than-stellar harvest. "It never really warmed up, that was the main reason," he said. Though the red grapes took a hit, he did say that the cooler weather should cause the white grapes to be crisp.
