ST FRANCIS CONSTRUCTION
Blaine VanPelt of Great Lakes Caulking and Waterproofing walks away from the bottom of the elevator after waterproofing it for the expansion project of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Traverse City. An approximately 17-foot deep hole was dug for the project at the corner of South Union and Griffin streets was dug on the site of the former church rectory, and will eventually house a new family center, kitchen, offices, food pantry, meeting rooms and storage on the ground floor and basement. A future phase of the project will include a larger narthex and entrance, but the church itself will not be changed.
