Northwestern Michigan College students Nicky Wang, top, and Jamal Turner help unload a semi-truck full of donated food and hygiene items collected by the NMC the professional communications class on Monday on NMC's Aero Park campus. The event, Distribution Day, was the culmination of the sixth annual Food for Thought food drive, a month-long drive to benefit four local pantries serving students. Volunteers at the event formed a human chain to unload the truck and distribute the donations equally among the four pantries: TLD Prayer Fyre, Step Up Northern Michigan, Traverse Bay Area Iintermediate School District Spirit Pantry and NMCÕs Food Pantry.
