Kevin O'Shea, with Waggener Electric, works in what will be a cardiac diagnostic center at Munson Medical Center. Munson officlas said that work began this spring on the 8,000-square-foot Daniel and Debra Edson Cardiac Diagnosis Suite, which will double the size of the exisiting space. It's the final stage of the Munson Heart Center located at its Sixth Street campus and should be completed this fall. The hospital's Cardiac Diagnostic Suite allows for two- and three-dimensional tests such as echo cardiograms, electrocardiograms and Holter monitor studies that give heart physicians an accurate understanding of heart functions. The Edsons made a $1 million donation to the project in 2009. It also received a $100,000 donation from the Oleson Foundation among other community support.
