Nathaniel Rose Wine owner Nathaniel Rose, left, and "geriatric vine surgeon," Teresa Wolf do restorative pruning to the winery's vineyard along M-22 north of Suttons Bay. Rose, who has been a winemaker for several area wineries, opened his winery in the former Raftshol Winery in March. The two said the process, called laying new cane, will go on in the 6 acre vineyard until the vines bud, and will start back again next spring.
