A parade including trumpeters, heralders and members of the Traverse City Police and Fire Departments escort a horse driven carriage carrying Monica Worthington, 4, of Maple City and her family down Front Street in Traverse City. Worthington, who has acute lymphoblastic leukemia, got her wish to be a princess from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, who organized the day for her. Several thousand people lined Front Street to cheer Worthington and her family as they paraded through town in a horse-drawn carriage, complete with trumpets and a fly over from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City. The party moved inside to the City Opera House, where Worthington was crowned by National Cherry Queen Danielle Bott and received a special proclamation from Traverse City Mayor Jim Carruthers.
