FIREFIGHTER AGILITY TESTS

Ethan Passalacqua of Harbor Springs carries a pressurized fire hose while Traverse City Fire Captain Brian Kuhr times him during Friday's agility tests for Traverse City Fire Department candidates at Station 1. Each candidate had eight minutes to complete tasks including carrying fire hoses up flights of stairs, carrying and climbing ladders and finding and dragging a 125 pound dummy through a dark basement, all while wearing 65 pounds of firefighting gear. Candidates also had to pass a written exam on Saturday morning to be considered for the job.
