Representatives from the Michigan State Police, Traverse City Police Department and the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Department take part in Wednesday's Police Officers Memorial Ceremony outside the Govermental Center in Traverse City. The annual event is held on Peace Officer's Memorial Day, which is observed in the U.S. on May 15 to pay tribute to peace officers who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty.
