Sam Verellen of South Boardman looks for mink tracks along the banks of Mitchell Creek where it flows into East Grand Traverse Bay at Traverse City State Park on Wednesday afternoon. Verellen, who said he grew up surrounded by wildlife on Saginaw Bay, saw a mink on the side of nearby Three Mile Road and wanted to see if he could spot signs of any more.
