NEW LIGHT
Record-Eagle/Jan-Michael Stump
Mark Meylan, a journeyman electrician with J. Ranck Electric in Mt. Pleasant, sets up a sign on the new traffic lights being installed at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Rennie School Road on Tuesday afternoon in Traverse City. The Michigan Department of Transportation is adding the four-way signal in anticipation of the opening of Blaine's Farm and Fleet, which is scheduled to open in April. According to MDOT, the signal will begin flashing amber for U.S. 31 traffic and red for Rennie School Road traffic on Sunday, April 7, and begin full operations on Sunday, April 14.
