Piles of hair sit on the ground during Saturday's 8th annual St. Baldrick's head shaving event at 7 Monks Taproom in Traverse City to raise money for childhood cancer research. Forty-five people had their heads shaved, raising over $40,000, according to event coordinator Trevis Gillow, and about $295,000 over the event's eight years.
