"There's so many, you don't know which ones to pick," said Doris Tuffts, right, as she and Deb Payne of Kalkaska pick irises blooming at the Iris Farm on M-72 near Traverse City on Tuesday afternoon. Owner Bill Black the over 800 different colors of irises on his 6 acre farm are in peak bloom this week. "We've had an absolutely beautiful growing year, and they're loving the cool weather," said Black. "It has really made up for the last couple of years."
