KIDS CREEK TRAIL SIGNS

Eighth graders from Tara DenHerder's science class at Traverse City West Middle School installed four interpretive trail signs they made for Kids Creek Park in Garfield Township. The students researched the topics - native plants and pollinators, Emerald Ash Borer, the Franke mill and aquatic habitats (seen here) - and created signs for the trail with help from the Grand Traverse Conservation District and funding help from the Grand Traverse Stewardship Initiative.
