Boat Water
Record-Eagle/Tessa Lighty
A boat takes on water while anchored just off West End Beach in Traverse City. High winds and up to 3-foot waves moved the National Weather Service to issue a small craft advisory on Tuesday, meaning small vessels would have difficulty navigating in choppy conditions, said Tim Locker, a meteorologist at NWS. North to northwest winds held steady at 10-15 mph during the day, but gusts reached up to 22 mph through the morning with the chance of 30 mph gusts in the afternoon. The winds should die down overnight, he said.
