Penny Lautner, an employee with the Traverse City Downtown Development Authority, waters petunias Tuesday along Front Street in downtown Traverse City. It takes Lautner approximately two and a half hours to water the petunias along Union Street, Front Street and Cass Street, a task she tries to do every other day. "I pray for rain a lot," Lautner said.
