INLAND SEAS GRAND OPENING
Record-Eagle/Jan-Michael Stump
The Inland Seas Education Association celebrated the grand opening of the Capt. Thomas M. Kelly Biological Station in Suttons Bay following a $1.5 million renovation project that included dorm space for overnight educational programs, exterior building and landscaping improvements, and upgrades to lab space and shower and restrooms. The 30 year-old non-profit organization mission is to inspire curiosity, stewardship, and passion about the Great Lakes environment through hands-on experiences that include sailing on the Schoolship Inland Seas and charters on the Manitou.
