Maxwell Hedlund, 13, hugs his mother Katie Headlund during Tuesday's "Speak Their Names - Annual Candlelight Vigil" at the Open Space in Traverse City to honor those lost in the queer community with a recitation of the names and pictures of the victims of the 2016 Pulse night club shooting in Orlando, Fla, which killed 49 people and wounded 53. The event was hosted by Up North Pride, Polestar LGBT+ Community Center of Traverse City, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Blackbird Arts and New Waves United Church of Christ.
