Katherine Shaughnessy of St. Louis, Mo., examines works by James Ardis during Saturday's Crooked Tree Outdoor Art Fair on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College. The event, in its 57th year, featured over 100 artists in mediums ranging from sculpture and painting to jewelry and fiber arts. "I search out art fairs all summer long," said Shaughnessy. "We were so happy to find this."
