EAST BAY FIRE

A man was killed in a Friday morning fire at a home on Peninsula Trail in East Bay Township. Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department responded about 8 a.m. to the home, and were hampered by smoke and fire inside in their attempts to rescue the victim, who's wife escaped unharmed.
