Nick Agostinelli walks down to the former beach behind his home on Silver Lake's east side. Agostinelli used to have 20 feet of sand for a beach until he said water levels rose because of a poorly-maintained drain. Now he has 400 30-pound sand bags in place to keep the water at bay. Agostinelli supports making the county drain commissioner job full-time.
