Rows of seats in the Traverse City Central High School auditorium. Traverse City Area Public Schools will ask voters in November to increase the district's existing 3.1-mill bond levy by up to 0.9 mills to fund, in part, a new performing arts center at Central High School estimated at $26.5 million. TCAPS officials said the existing auditorium lacks adequate seating, stage space, lighting and sound systems.
