Barrett Mills pulls his ice fishing pop-up into position while ice fishing on Long Lake on Saturday. Ice fishing is one of Mills's favorite past times, but having moved to Traverse City in the fall, he knew he needed to find some information about the area lakes before taking his chances walking across frozen water. Mills said he went online, and found Lee Zylstra, a local who grew up fishing Long Lake, who was willing to take him out and give him some pointers on the safe areas to fish.
