Laura Guerin pets Fiona, a blind Clydesdale cross, while grooming her during Friday's Hug and Groom Days at the PEACE Ranch, when the ranch is open to the public from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. "We lovingly call this our walk-in clinic," said Jackie Kaschel, who founded and runs the ranch with her husband Paul Kaschel. The ranch is a therapy and rehabilitation center for both people and horses. Kaschel also added the weekly event also helps the horses learn to be handled by less-experienced handlers after working with experts.
