DOWNTOWN CHILI COOK-OFF

Becky Dick of Falmouth talks about her chili samples with friends during Saturday's 23rd annual Downtown Chili Cook-Off at the Park Place Hotel in Traverse City. Over 15 area restaurants offered chili in categories such as 1 and 3-alarm, white, vegetarian, seafood and ethnic, to be voted on by attendees. The event raises money for the Downtown Traverse City Association, a voluntary association of downtown merchants who's mission is to advocate for the interests of downtown Traverse City.
