The two are part of a low-income group of families who were selected for Cherryland Electric Cooperative's pilot program to provide solar credits to low-income households. Credit from the solar panels will go into their account. The two had their home winterized by Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency and are looking at other ways to cut back on the electric bill.
