LIGHT UP INTERLOCHEN PREP

From left, Helen Morgan, Linda Drake, Charlotte Pavilanis and Claudette Johnson, volunteers through Friends of the Interlochen Public Library, stuff 500 goody bags of treats on Tuesday at the library to be distributed to children at Light Up Interlochen event. Friday’s event, which runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. outside Tom’s Food Market Interlochen, will feature food, sleigh rides and live reindeer. Santa will light the tree at 5:30, which includes a 25 minute musical light show, and in addition to the goody bag children will receive a free age-appropriate book.
