Maximus Tafelsky, 10, was honored by the Traverse City Fire Department for his actions in helping his mother, Linda Tafelsky, when she had a seizure in November. The family volunteered to wrap presents with the department's annual toy drive on Saturday when Maximus was surprised by Chief Jim Tuller with a plaque in recognition of his actions.
