The Traverse City West steel drum ensemble ninth grader Mary Roth plays her instrument along with other members at the corner of Park and Front Streets in downtown Traverse City during Tuesday's Drumathon - 12 hours of uninterrupted percussion. About 25 students and a few alumni percussionists ranging from the drum line to marimbas performed at The Village at Grand Traverse Commons, the Open Space and several locations in downtown Traverse City with the goal of raising $5,000.
