More than three dozen people gathered along the banks of the Boardman River for a vigil remembering the victims of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombs, detonated at the end of World War II, and for all victims of war.
Candles were floated down the river after the group sang songs and spoke for peace and justice in the world. The event, which has been held annually for more than 25 years, was sponsored by The Neahtawanta Center, Veterans for Peace, Mideast for Peace and Traverse Area Peace and Justice.
