FERN TRANSPLANT

Shelly Stusick of Huron Pines Americore digs up ferns as she and other Leelanau Conservancy staff and volunteers transplant the plants from the Kiehl Lake Natural Area near Northport to transport to the Palmer Woods Forest Preserve near Maple City. The ferns were taken from an area where a new boardwalk is planned, and will be transplanted to a fern garden site.
