Work crews break apart asphalt sections of West Front Street on Monday afternoon after the road closed for reconstruction. Officials estimate about 15,000 need to find a different route into the west side of Traverse City. The closure will last until Oct. 13. The street will be reconstructed from the western city limit to Elmwood Avenue.
