IMMACULATE CONCEPTION DEMOLITION
Keith Watson of Team Elmer's carries away remnants of copper plumbing lines as a crew from Team Elmer's takes down the chimneys on Immaculate Conception Elementary School in Traverse City on Friday as demolition begins on the older of the two school buildings, which dates to 1905. The large pile of dirt in the background is used as a platform for demolition equipment to reach the higher parts of the building. A new two-story, $12 million building will be home to kindergarten through fifth grade students from Immaculate Conception and Holy Angels Elementary School when it is completed around fall of 2018.
