IMMACULATE CONCEPTION DEMOLITION
Barry Lowe uses a hammer to knock down the bricks from one of the two chimneys he and a crew from Team Elmer's removed on Immaculate Conception Elementary School in Traverse City on Friday as demolition begins on the older of the two school buildings, which dates to 1905. A new two-story, $12 million building will be home to kindergarten through fifth grade students from Immaculate Conception and Holy Angels Elementary School when it is completed around fall of 2018.
