Grand Traverse Area Children's Garden Volunteer of the Year Marc Askew walks through the garden during Thursday's Awards Night in Traverse City. The event featured pizza, ice cream and treats; music, and awards and recognitions for groups involved with the garden.The event was dedicated to the garden's founder, Susan Kuschell, who died in May.
