James Palmer fills his trailer with free compost from Grand Traverse County and Traverse City in the parking lot at the Sara Hardy Farmer's Market. The approximately 140 yards of compost was trucked in from the County's brush drop-off site, where it was made from collected yard materials such as leaves and grass clippings.
