From left, Jim Tompkins, Frank McManus and Owen Lada, all of Traverse City, stand with TC Central High School students and football players Nick Bonaccini and Brandon McKee. Tompkins is a member of the Korean War Veterans Association while McManus and Lada are both United States Marine Corps veterans and were players on the Traverse City varsity football team in 1949. Bonaccini holds a Traverse City Central High School football helmet which has a camouflage-designed stripe on it. The helmet will be worn by Traverse City Central High School football players during their game against Gaylord High School on Friday during the Wounded Warrior football game at Thirlby Field.
