Jacquelyn Rossfeld, left, and Ruth Boerman, of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, talk while working on a quilt with other church members. The group meets weekly on Tuesday mornings to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief. They have made 600 so far this year and 10,000 since 1986. Groups from across the U.S. make quilts, which are gathered every October. They then are stored in Maryland, where they can be distributed to wherever there is a need, such as after a hurricane or earthquake.
