Club members taught lessons in both traditional and skate-skiing techniques. Holtz, who has been a traditional cross-country skier for 40 years, was there to learn the other method. "If you do the traditional stuff, everyone is passing you with the skate-skiing stuff, so I thought I'd learn that today," he said.
