LOGO GARDEN PLANTING
Record-Eagle photo/Jan-Michael Stump
Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District Career Tech Center agriscience students Rachel Geyer, left, and Michael Gills help the Friendly Garden Club of Traverse City plant the logo garden at the Open Space on Thursday morning in Traverse City. About 6,500 red begonias, yellow marigolds, alyssums and parsley were planted by over 50 garden club members and students from the agriscience program, which grew the plants. Funds to purchase the flowers came from the club's annual garden walk, which will be held this year on July 21.
