People gather in the Peninsula Community Library as it opened its doors for donors on Friday night after nearly three years of planning and construction. The $2.5 million, 5,600-square-foot building at the intersection of Island View and Center roads includes a local history room, a children's area, a teen room, a 100-person community room and will open to the public today at 10 a.m.
