Traverse City Area Public Schools food service staff, from left, Susan Burton, Karen Phillips, Christine Novak and Trish Hackett prepare meals to be distributed at Traverse Heights Elementary School on Wednesday for parents and students who need them during the state-mandated COVID-19 school closures. Breakfast and lunch are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at Traverse Heights, Blair Elementary School, Long Lake Elementary School and Traverse City East Middle School between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. They will continue next week but not during the school system's scheduled spring break the following week.
