GRADUATE BANNERS

Todd Weaver and Norm Fenton of the Village of Kingsley Department of Public Works place banners for each of the 88 graduating Kingsley High School seniors on downtown light posts on Monday morning. Project Graduation, a parents and faculty group that traditionally hosts an all-night party for graduates, made the banners in response to the cancellation of the school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the village put them up on Brownson Avenue and M-113.
"The youth of our community is our future," said Village Manager Dan Hawkins. "[We are] making sure they know we won't forget them, and we don't want them to forget us."
