Captain Bryan Smith looks on as Traverse City's fifth tall ship, named Perception, is lifted by a crane into the bay at the Discovery Pier. The 68-foot steel hull arrived with the help of a semi-truck and was hoisted using two large tow straps before it was officially in the water on Monday morning.
