Crowds line Front Street in downtown Traverse City to fullfill the with of Monica Worthington, 4, of Maple City to be a princess for a day. Worthington, who has acute lymphoblastic leukemia, got her wish to be a princess from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, who organized the day for her. Several thousand people lined Front Street to cheer Worthington and her family as they paraded through town in a horse-drawn carriage, complete with trumpets and a fly over from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City. The party moved inside to the City Opera House, where Worthington was crowned by National Cherry Queen Danielle Bott and received a special proclamation from Traverse City Mayor Jim Carruthers.
