Eastern Elementary School third grader Will  Phillips (cq) presents World War II veteran Theodore MacTavish (cq) an appreciation packae during Thursday's Veteran's Appreciation Ceremony in the school gym. Students interviewed 19 local veterans who served in World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf and wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, respectively, for a video presentation during the ceremony, and read letters and presented each veteran with an appreciation package and DVD of their interview.
